Best For
Trusted RGB, AIO, screen and streaming software
Important Before You Start
Only add an exclusion for software you know is safe and have downloaded from an official or trusted source.
Do not add exclusions for random downloads, unknown files, cracked software, suspicious installers or anything you are unsure about.
Why You Might Need This
Sometimes Bitdefender can incorrectly identify trusted PC software as suspicious and block it from opening or working properly.
This can happen with software used for AIO screens, RGB lighting, external displays, Stream Deck style devices, stream docks, fan control tools and other PC utilities.

Step By Step Guide
Step 1: Open Bitdefender
Open the Bitdefender app on your Windows PC.
Step 2: Go To Protection
In the Bitdefender menu, go to the Protection section.
Step 3: Open The Relevant Protection Area
Depending on what Bitdefender is blocking, you may need to check the Antivirus section or the Advanced Threat Defense section.
Step 4: Choose Manage Exceptions
Look for Manage Exceptions or Manage exceptions in the relevant Bitdefender settings area.
Step 5: Add The Trusted File Or Program
Add the file, folder or program that you know is safe. For some Bitdefender protection areas, you may need to select the actual application file rather than just the folder.
Step 6: Save The Exclusion
Save the exclusion, then try opening the software again to check whether it now works correctly.
Step 7: Restart If Needed
If the software still does not open properly, restart the PC and test again.
Do Not Exclude Everything
Adding an exclusion tells Bitdefender to stop checking or blocking that selected item in the same way. That is useful when the software is trusted, but it can be risky if used on the wrong file.
Never add your whole downloads folder, random folders or unknown programs as exclusions. Keep exclusions specific and only use them when you are confident the software is safe.
