Before your PC leaves us
✅ What We Set Up
When your PC originally leaves Pink Parsnip Computers, we have already stress tested it and checked that the main components are working correctly.
Where your build includes RGB lighting, AIO screen software, LCD screens or visual software, we also kindly set these up for you before dispatch. In many cases, we may even customise the lighting or screen theme to match a colour scheme that we discussed with you before your PC was delivered.
This setup is part of the care we put into every build. It helps your PC arrive looking great and ready to enjoy.
Important to understand
⚙️ Why Things Can Change
Windows being Windows, updates happen. RGB apps, motherboard software, AIO screen software, graphics drivers, USB drivers, antivirus software and game launchers can all update too.
When a PC has lots of RGB, screens and aesthetic features, it may need more than one control application. We always try to keep this to the minimum, ideally one application where possible, but some builds need separate software because each manufacturer controls its own devices differently.
If RGB colours, LCD screens, fan lighting, GIFs, temperature displays or software profiles stop behaving exactly as they did on delivery, this does not automatically mean the PC is faulty or that hardware has failed.
Warranty position
🛠 Hardware Warranty vs Third Party Software
Pink Parsnip Computers is responsible for the hardware of your PC build during your 12 month hardware warranty period. We will always take possible hardware faults seriously.
However, RGB software, AIO screen software, LCD screen software, motherboard control software, keyboard and mouse software, antivirus software, Windows updates and game updates are created and maintained by third parties. We do not make this software and we have no control over updates, bugs, conflicts or changes made by those companies.
Software issues, RGB software conflicts, screen software issues, game update issues, driver update issues, Windows update issues and conflicts caused by software installed after delivery are not covered under the Pink Parsnip Computers hardware warranty.
During your warranty period, we may remotely connect to your PC to check temperatures, hardware health, stability, device detection and general system behaviour. This is to confirm whether the issue appears to be a genuine hardware fault.
Examples
❌ Not Covered Under Hardware Warranty
- Changing RGB colours after delivery.
- Recreating a lighting theme that has changed after an update.
- AIO screen software not opening after a Windows update.
- A screen GIF, image or temperature display no longer showing as expected.
- Armoury Crate, MSI Center, GIGABYTE Control Center, ASRock Polychrome, Corsair iCUE, Lian Li L Connect or similar software behaving differently after an update.
- SignalRGB closing or conflicting with other RGB applications.
- Keyboard, mouse, headset or peripheral software interfering with RGB control.
- Antivirus software blocking RGB or screen applications.
- Windows USB power saving affecting internal USB connected screens or controllers.
- Software conflicts caused by apps installed after your PC was delivered.
Still supported
✅ What We Will Still Check
- Whether the PC is overheating.
- Whether fans are spinning correctly.
- Whether the CPU, GPU, RAM and storage are behaving normally.
- Whether a hardware device appears to be missing or failing.
- Whether the system is crashing due to a possible hardware fault.
- Whether the AIO pump or cooling hardware appears to be working correctly.
- Whether further return to base testing is needed.
If we identify a genuine hardware issue during the warranty period, we will handle that under your 12 month hardware warranty.

🧰 Step By Step Troubleshooting Guide
Before booking remote support, we recommend trying the steps below. These fix a lot of common RGB, AIO screen and LCD screen software issues.
-
Fully close the software.
Do not just press the X in the corner. Open Task Manager, check the Processes tab, then close the RGB, AIO or screen software completely. After that, open it again.
-
Run the software as administrator.
Right click the app icon and choose Run as administrator. This can help if Windows is blocking access to sensors, folders, USB devices or background services.
-
Restart the PC properly.
Use Start, Power, Restart. A restart is better than shutting down and turning the PC back on because Windows fast startup can sometimes keep old sessions and services cached.
-
Check that only one RGB app is trying to control the same device.
RGB software often conflicts when two apps are trying to control the same motherboard, fans, RAM or lighting controller at the same time.
-
Check SignalRGB conflict settings.
SignalRGB can detect and close conflicting RGB applications. If you installed SignalRGB yourself, check its conflict settings and make sure it is not closing software that you still need for your AIO screen, LCD screen, fans or other devices.
-
Add antivirus exclusions for trusted RGB and AIO software.
In Windows Security or your antivirus software, add an exclusion for the trusted RGB, AIO or screen software folder. Only do this for software you trust and have downloaded from the official manufacturer website.
-
Check your Windows power plan.
Set your power plan to high performance or best performance where available. This can help prevent Windows from reducing power to USB connected controllers or screens.
-
Disable USB power saving where needed.
Open Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers, check USB Root Hub and USB controller properties, then look for the Power Management tab. If available, untick Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. This can help with internal USB connected screens and controllers.
-
Update carefully from official sources.
Download updates only from the official manufacturer support pages. Avoid random download websites, old Reddit links, mirror websites or unknown driver tools.
-
Remove recently installed RGB or peripheral software.
If everything was working and then stopped after installing keyboard, mouse, headset, RGB strip, fan hub or controller software, remove the new software and restart the PC.
-
Remove conflicting software one app at a time.
If you have several RGB apps installed, remove or disable them one by one until things start working again. This helps identify which application caused the conflict.
-
Do not keep reinstalling everything at random.
Installing multiple versions of RGB software on top of each other can make things worse. Work through one application at a time.

Final note
💗 Our Honest Position
We are not trying to hide from support. We are proud of our builds and we want every customer to enjoy their PC. That is why we set the lighting and screens up before the PC leaves us.
At the same time, it is important to be clear and fair. A PC can be fully working from a hardware point of view while a third party RGB app, LCD app, Windows update, antivirus tool or software conflict causes lighting or screen problems.
If it is hardware, we will deal with it under warranty. If it is third party software setup, customisation or conflict resolution, we are still happy to help, but it may be booked as discounted remote support at £25 per hour.
