The ASUS ROG Strix B850-F Gaming WiFi7 NEO is a premium AMD AM5 ATX motherboard designed for powerful gaming PCs, enthusiast systems and high performance workstations.

Built around the AMD B850 chipset, it supports compatible AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 Series desktop processors, together with high speed DDR5 memory, PCI Express 5.0 graphics, multiple M.2 storage drives, WiFi 7 and 5 Gigabit Ethernet.

ROG SupremeFX audio, extensive USB connectivity and ASUS Q Design features make the motherboard equally suited to experienced builders and users assembling their first high performance system.

AMD AM5 Processor Support

The AM5 socket supports compatible AMD Ryzen 9000, Ryzen 8000 and Ryzen 7000 Series desktop processors. This gives builders access to a wide range of gaming, productivity and content creation processors across the current AMD AM5 platform.

Processor compatibility and available PCI Express features can vary depending on the exact Ryzen processor installed.

High Speed DDR5 Memory

Four DDR5 DIMM slots support up to 256GB of dual channel memory. Compatible memory kits can operate at speeds of up to 9000 MT/s when overclocked, depending on the processor, memory configuration and BIOS settings.

Support for AMD EXPO and ASUS Enhanced Memory Profile makes it easier to apply compatible performance profiles through the motherboard BIOS.

PCI Express 5.0 Graphics

When paired with a compatible AMD Ryzen 9000 or Ryzen 7000 Series processor, the primary reinforced expansion slot supports PCI Express 5.0 x16 connectivity for high performance graphics cards.

Selected Ryzen 8000 Series processors may operate the primary graphics slot at PCI Express 4.0 and with a reduced number of lanes. Buyers should check the specifications of their chosen processor when planning a system.

Four M.2 Storage Slots

The motherboard supports up to four M.2 solid state drives and two SATA storage devices. With a compatible Ryzen 9000 or Ryzen 7000 Series processor, the two primary M.2 slots support PCI Express 5.0 x4 storage.

The remaining M.2 slots support PCI Express 4.0 x4 storage, providing extensive capacity for fast operating system drives, games, applications and project files.

The M.2_3 slot shares bandwidth with the secondary PCI Express x16 slot. When a device is installed and operating in the secondary expansion slot, the M.2_3 storage slot is disabled.

WiFi 7 and 5 Gigabit Ethernet

Integrated WiFi 7 provides fast wireless networking across compatible 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz networks. Bluetooth 5.4 is also included for compatible headsets, controllers and other wireless accessories.

For wired networking, the Realtek 5 Gigabit Ethernet connection provides significantly more bandwidth than standard Gigabit Ethernet when used with compatible network equipment.

ASUS LANGuard helps provide additional protection and signal reliability for the wired network connection.

ROG SupremeFX Audio

The ROG SupremeFX audio system uses the Realtek ALC4080 codec and a Savitech SV3H712 amplifier to deliver detailed 7.1 channel high definition audio.

SupremeFX shielding, premium audio capacitors, impedance sensing and an optical S/PDIF output help provide clear sound for games, films, music and voice communication.

Extensive USB Connectivity

The rear panel provides twelve USB ports, including USB Type A and USB Type C connections operating at speeds of up to 10Gbps.

An internal USB 20Gbps connector supports a compatible front panel USB Type C port, while additional headers support up to four front USB 5Gbps ports and six USB 2.0 ports.

Flexible Cooling Control

Dedicated headers are provided for the CPU fan, optional CPU fan, AIO pump and four chassis fans. ASUS Fan Xpert 4 and AI Cooling II can help users configure cooling behaviour according to system temperature and noise preferences.
