Built for heavily modded Sims 4. Ready for modded Minecraft too.
A budget friendly gaming PC with the right parts in the right places, so your mods, custom content and shader presets have room to breathe.
The Sims 4 is a strange game to build for. It cares far more about your processor and memory than your graphics card, and the moment you add mods and custom content it gets hungrier still. So we put the money where The Sims actually uses it: a 6 core, 12 thread Ryzen 5 5500 and fast 3200MHz memory.
Then we added a GTX 1070 with 8GB of graphics memory, which gives your custom content, high resolution textures and ReShade or GShade presets somewhere to live. Modded Minecraft loves the same recipe, so this machine is happy there too.
Used and refurbished parts. The GTX 1070 graphics card is used, and the memory is refurbished. Both are tested before the PC leaves us. Every other part in the build is new.
What to expect. At 1080p, a heavily modded Sims 4 setup with custom content should run smoothly. Light to medium shader presets are comfortable. Very heavy presets will cost you frame rate in busy lots, which is a good reason to switch them on for screenshots and off for everyday play. Modded Minecraft with typical modpacks is a good fit. The most demanding shader packs and very long render distances will push this graphics card, and that is where a bigger card would help.
Games are not included. You bring your own Sims 4 and Minecraft accounts and mods. We hand you a clean, fully updated Windows 11 install, ready for them.
Honest scores for what this build is, not what we wish it was.
Yes, that is what it is built for. The Sims 4 leans on the processor and memory more than the graphics card, and this build spends its money there. The 8GB graphics card gives your custom content and shader presets plenty of room.
If you run a truly enormous custom content folder, 32GB of memory is an easy upgrade later.
Modded Minecraft runs well on this build at 1080p with typical modpacks and light to medium shaders. Very demanding shader packs and extreme render distances are where you would want a stronger graphics card.
Yes. The GTX 1070 graphics card is used and the memory is refurbished. Both are tested before dispatch. Everything else is brand new.
Yes. Genuine Windows 11 is installed and activated, set up with TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot as Microsoft intends, with drivers installed and updates done.
No. Sims 4 and Minecraft are not included, so you will need your own accounts and licences. We give you a clean, fully updated machine ready to install them.
Yes. The AM4 platform supports Ryzen 5000 series processors, the board has a spare M.2 slot for a fast NVMe drive, and the 650W power supply has room for a stronger graphics card. The board has two memory slots, so a 32GB upgrade means swapping to two 16GB sticks.
